Buenos Aires Honeymoon…?!

Buenos

John and I did a lot of wedding + honeymoon brainstorming this weekend and are thinking of honeymooning in Buenos Aires, Argentina!  Have any of my lovely readers been there?  I pulled out my June 2006 issue of Domino to study their “Destination BA” guide and got goosebumps!  I’m dying to see the architecture, some tango dancing and shop for antiques at the San Telmo flea market (apparently the exchange rate makes for shopping heaven).  Even the chicest hotels look ridiculously affordable.  If you’ve been to Buenos Aires do let me know, I’d love the insider scoop!

  1. Buenos Aires is said to be the Paris of the Americas. I have never been but it is on my short list of places to visit. I have a friend who is extremely well traveled and Buenos Aires is her favorite city. I say go for it!

It’s late late late in Buenos Aires and I am catching up on all that your wonderful and whimsical blog has to offer. I couldn’t help but comment and let you know that yes you must honeymoon here ! Buenos Aires is a fabulous jumping off point to other incredible parts of Argentina – Mendoza, Salta, the lake district of Patagonia, the list goes on. Let’s not even mention the antiques that are waiting for you in San Telmo and the lesser known Mercado de Pulgas just near Palermo. Anyway, I think you’re absolutely endearing and can’t get enough of your blog. Pure bliss !
