Wedding update…

Groom

I’ve been completely neglecting our upcoming nuptials and seriously need to get it together.  I haven’t even picked a date or my dress or the flowers or…sigh.  Oh well, all in due time, right?  Besides, I like planning and I can’t WAIT to be Katie Armour so this will be fun.  Above, I’d like John to wear something like this.

Picture 13For me, this.

Program

Programs

For guests, a homemade program like this and this.

Rings

Definitely a creative ring shot like this.

Shoes

Oh and don’t forget a swell shoe shot like this.

Picture 14

Alfred will be wearing his Sunday best. Perhaps a vintage bow tie like this.

Cupcakes

We’ll dine on stunningly beautiful Cupcake Cafe cupcakes like this.

RitaAndBuddy

And then we’ll live happily ever after like this (my grandparents, Buddy and Rita)!

What do you think???  Just thinking about it makes me all smiley and giddy with butterflies!

  8. Stephanie — Love a Cupcake Cafe connection—it is by far my favorite cupcake shop in New York! We used to stop in for waffles before hitting the Hell’s Kitchen flea market.

  14. Have you realized my boyfriend is the Bow Tie Guy? I must send him the photo of dog. We’ve been talking about a bow tie for our cat but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

The first photo looks exactly what BTG wore to a wedding last summer, to which I say, perfect ensemble!

  16. Lynn Byrne says:

Darling Kate. It will be a beautiful wedding.
Your grandparents sound awesome and since I am probably almost twice your age, I am hoping to look as good as your grandma in my 70′s!
Until your interview, I didn’t realize you were living in Morgantown. I am a Pittsburgh girl myself, but now live just outside NYC. Not sure I could go back….. Best, Lynn, Decor Arts Now

  17. Lynn — A Pittsburgh girl! We make it up there from time to time for a J.Crew fix, but for the most part I’m trying my best to embrace country living while I’m here. I only have 3.5 months to go—at the beginning I was counting the days till we left, but Morgantown has slowly grown on me. Not that I won’t be pleased to move somewhere new come June! Thanks for your sweet comments as always… XO

  18. Brooke says:

My husband surprised me one year (when we were still in NYC) with the most amazing Birthday cake from Cupcake Cafe…see, another fond memory!

I think you have more planned than you think! all you need to do is execute your thoughts and ideas. I love the style of dress you’ve picked for yourself I’m going to be making one in this goddess style for my BFF(although we don’t have a final design yet, but that is the direction that we are going in) who is getting married this summer. I’m so excited! I’m practically putting my wedding plans on hold to help her.

Good luck with it! i’m sure you’ll do fine and you have tons of people who will give you an opinion if you ask
