Sun shing and the wind blowing cold…perfectly describes today, at least in DC! That wise Mr. Dickens.
Elizabeth — Doesn’t it describe today PERFECTLY? I nearly died when I found it this morning. Oh Charles, what a talent he was : )
perfect for nyc too! i had this very thought on my way to work, but of course couldn’t put these words to it. xx
Jane — Oh please, Dickens has nothing on your eloquence : ) Miss you! XO
oo wow! so beautiful! couple of days ago we had a weather like that! Today it’s snowing and it’s super cold!
I’m glad there’s some consolation from Dickens on the crazy March weather! (We had white-out snow conditions in the morning, and then it all melted in the afternoon!)
Beautiful!!

A perfect quote for a day like today! Just hiked with the dogs :) thanks for sharing the wisdom of Dickens.
what literature is this pulled from? I really like it
Never mind! I found out it’s an excerpt from Great Expectations
I’m glad you found out Adriana—it actually didn’t specify where I found it and I was wondering the same thing! XO
