This fantastic engagement photo session shot by Kate Murphy has been a huge inspiration for our upcoming shoot to take place in California. The groom, Chris, looks alarmingly like my own handsome fiance John and they dress alike too! I also adore the bride’s attire — the pairing of her bright mustard coat with the polka dot dress is absolute perfection. The pictures’ editorial edge is just what we’re going for. Such a modern classic!

I’m honored to be the first to comment here (I should get off Facebook!). These pictures are very adorable and yes, modern classic. Have you thought about where you’ll be when you take yours? Badge and I had ours shot in January on a 20 degree day…I am really happy with them though. We were at the lake, which was frozen solid and it’s just us and the horizon. :)

That’s uncanny. Glad to finally find my doppleganger. Maybe we should change our mind again and get married in NY. It makes for such good pictures. Although, the California vineyards won’t be any slouch as a backdrop either.

Okay this was such a teaser. For a second, I thought it was you guys. Now you have no choice…you must post your pics once you have them!! We never did an engagement session and I so totally wish that we had…such a great way for you guys to get excited, just the two of you, without all of the pressure that goes along with the actual wedding. And in regular clothes!
