Love these looks from the spring/summer 2010 collection of milliner Eugenia Kim.  I can’t decide which I covet more, the sequin beret or orange bow fedora…?  To be honest, I don’t know if I could pull either off, it takes such confidence!  Are you a hat girl?

  1. Oh, hats… I try and be a hat girl. I think they look cute so I buy them and wear them once. Bummer.

  2. Katie Armour says:

Alaina — I feel you! Done that many a time… These are so cute though I may just have to try it again! xo

  3. Shannon says:

Have you seen her line at Target that just came out? Really cute and just a tad more affordable.

  4. Katie Armour says:

Shannon — I read about it, but I’ve yet to get to Target to take a look. Can’t wait to see the selection!

  5. Piper says:

ooh, the one with the orange bow – love it! i always want to wear hats…but i swear, they never fit – they’re always too big and i end up looking silly!

  6. BB Wooten says:

When I was young, my dad used to tell me that he thought I looked nice in a hat, that I was a “hat girl.” Looking back, it seems like a sweet thing to tell a daughter.

I think the fact that, despite his encouragement, they still make me uncomfortable is a testament to the universal difficulty of wearing hats. :)

  7. Katie Armour says:

BB — What a sweet memory. Funny how heartfelt compliments like that stick with us. xo

  8. Joanna says:

I WISH I were a hat girl. You have to have the right charm and insouciance to really pull it off (think Lauren Bacall). I’m working on that….

  9. I love those hats! I am a total hat girl but I actually look better in men’s hats than women’s. Wierd, I know.

  10. I always wish I was a hat person. Trying hard! Can’t get the fedoras to work yet.

  11. Katie Armour says:

Joanna — I’m working on it too!

Dancing Branflake — Whatever works, right? xo

Natural Health — The fedoras are hard to pull off for just about anyone!

  12. Love that orange bow fedora! But the only hats I can really pull off without being really nervous are the wide brimmed beach hats. Those are flattering on anyone, and us pale girls absolutely need them. I’m always lusting after jaunty little hats though, maybe one of these days I’ll get up the guts to wear one.

  13. i don’t think i could pull off any of these looks just yet, though they are lovely! i’m easing myself into becoming a hat person with the purchase of my first big floppy sunhat. i’ll admit i feel a little silly wearing it but it’s nice and cool (and sunburn-free!) underneath!

  14. i LOVE hats! oh my goodness! and i wear them often!

i just bought the sea green one from her line for target.
    it is killer and affordable!

  15. Kirby says:

Love Love Love… can’t say it enough

  16. amy says:

That sequined beret is to-die! You know… It really makes me think of this photo of Tori Amos (from her record Scarlet’s Walk, if I’m not mistaken).

  17. Brandi says:

I think my head is too big for hats. I hate that because I really want to wear some hats without looking awkward.

  18. DOTS says:

we used to be a milliner a lifetime ago :) Romantic hats adorned with vintage flowers…it was delicious.

  19. Lisa says:

I’m not really a hat girl, but that sequined beret is calling my name!! Very SATC, no?
