Petaled ring pillows…

Love these hand-sewn ring pillows by Maihar Design.  Wouldn’t the top one look darling attached to the top of our pug Alfred’s collar?  The very thought of him waddling down the aisle cracks me up and yet, I’m only half kidding.  Someone talk me out of it…

these are so so cute!! are you picking one?

  2. Katie Armour says:

Helena — I might! I’m leaning towards the all ivory (not pictured here, it’s in their shop) or the top one with the ivory and pale pink…. Hmmmm….

  3. BB Wooten says:

These are, indeed, spectacular. They remind me of something Emersonmade would create.

P.S. You’re asking the wrong person to dissuade you from including a cute stub-nosed pooch from any festivities. I have such a weakness for cute pups!

  4. Kirby says:

definetly not talking you out of that. I want to see it as much as you want it to happen. I wish we had a pup to walk our rings down the aisle. We don’t have any close children to us, so we aren’t sure if we will have a little flower girl and ring berer.

  5. Katie Armour says:

BB — “Stub-nosed,” hahaha — that is so perfect! We always call him “squish faced.” Awwww, poor Alfred.

    Kirby — Uh oh…I think you need a puppy pronto : )

  6. Victoria says:

    So fabulous and fun-tastic!

Victoria — Thank you for the award, you’re too sweet! For some reason when I try to click through to your blog it doesn’t work now…? Help! xoxo

  9. Kate says:

Oh I cannot talk you out of that. Our lab was our ring bearer and he was sooo cute. We didn’t have one of those gorgeous pillows either.

  10. Katie Armour says:

Kate — I think I’m going to do it! The real question is whether Alfred will somehow manage to loose the pillow and our rings before making it to the altar. If there’s a way he will find it… Wish us luck! XX katie

I insist that Alfie be there. In fact, I am proclaiming myself pug watcher for the day. That’s how great of an Auntie I am. Love you and John and can’t wait for the big day!

  12. Katie Lynn says:

Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Katie. I hope you’ll drop by my little piece of the web again sometime soon!

Not to worry … Mile High weather is notoriously fickle, so although today says spring, tomorrow we’ll be back to “not quite there”. You and your blog are just adorable — I’ll definitely be back for another look!

P.S. I actually love your ring pillow idea. As mother to two canine children myself (Theodore Roosevelt, called Teddy, and Oliver Winchester, nicknamed Chester), I think including Alfred in the ceremony would add a touch of fun and whimsy, whether he makes it down the aisle or not. :) Weddings should be about family, and Alfred is an important part of yours!

  13. Katie Armour says:

Katie Lynn — How cute are you?! I want a little boy named Theodore someday to fondly refer to as Teddy (now I can tell people it is in honor of your dog, hah!). Seriously though, Oliver is another favorite name—we are certainly on the same wavelength. Whether Alfred carries the rings or not he will be present and the center of a lot of photos! Thanks for stopping in!
