The Pixie Cut

I’m not a huge fan of having my picture taken, but because everyone’s been demanding photos of the pixie cut—voila. John just snapped these a five minutes ago in the backyard and clearly, Alfred found the whole picture-taking process to be horribly boring. I’m terribly excited to be a short-haired bride like Audrey!

Lindsay — You should go for it! When I lived in Switzerland I used to get my hair chopped all over the world on our travels. It was hilarious as half the time I couldn’t communicate with the stylists, just photos. Once in Greece I swear they used an entire bottle of hairspray styling it…I laughed it off and raced back to the hotel to shower! Oh the memories…

How adorable you look, just like Audrey. Oh my it is perfect. You have the right shape face for it. I got my hair cut in a pixie right after I got married and so wish I had done it before my wedding. You are going to be a beautiful bride. Although Alfred looks bored, I think he is thinking you deserve all the spotlight with your new do. He can have his turn at the camera another day.

I love it! I had a pixie-ish cut last summer, but I wasn’t daring enough to go as short as you did. I’m growing my hair out for now (it’s to my shoulders, woo-hoo progress!), but someday I’m going to do it again, and I’ll be more daring.

Oh my goodness! I’m so overwhelmed by all of your kind words! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! To anyone considering chopping their hair—do it! It’s fantastically liberating and if all else fails, it grows back : ) I think I’ll be sticking with this look for a long while!

p.s. i’m gonna be a short haired bride too! i just got engaged! i was worried about wearing a veil with my super short hair. but i tried a cathedral length veil on, complete with blusher, and it looked amazing! i say wedding magazines and websites need to get more short haired models. i am nominating us! ;)

GORGEOUS! I’m so glad to see women cut their hair. Have you noticed that so many girls look alike nowadays? I chopped my hair last year and am eagerly awaiting a trip to the salon as it has grown out far too much and I want short hair again!!
