Daily Girl Crush
June 30, 2010Something about this darling girl in her Warby Parker frames stopped me in my tracks. The blue eyes? The dimples? The boho chic hat? I can’t quite put my finger on it, but her quirky beauty is tops in my book.

In celebration of the return of the Domino magazine archives (you can now find them at Brides.com) I thought I’d post the charming apartment of former Domino editor Tori Mellott. The archived images are big and gorgeous (thank you Brides!) and some, I think, have never been published until now. Mellott’s jewel box abode was always one of my favorites and I’m so thankful to once again have access to the images. I don’t know what I’m more jealous of—the handsome stripes or her book collection?!
I finally made a decision on our cake topper, the coral pink feathered birdies at top. I find it simple and sweet, very much in keeping with our modest, intimate affair. In place of a traditional wedding cake we’ve actually elected to have one cheesecake and an assortment of tarts from a local Alameda bakery. They’re made with fresh fruit (lemon, raspberries, apricots and more…) and the finished presentation is absolutely divine. I think the birds will look elegant perched on top of the cheesecake and I just love that the nest is decorated with vintage millinery flowers. Isn’t the green and lavender pairing darling as well?
More fantastic art for your walls! The artist’s name is Emma Leonard and she hails from Melbourne, Australia. I just love how she’s used the watercolors to exaggerate the girls’ unruly locks, don’t you? Frame it on your wall and all your friends will be jealous.
