Love Nests

I finally made a decision on our cake topper, the coral pink feathered birdies at top. I find it simple and sweet, very much in keeping with our modest, intimate affair. In place of a traditional wedding cake we’ve actually elected to have one cheesecake and an assortment of tarts from a local Alameda bakery. They’re made with fresh fruit (lemon, raspberries, apricots and more…) and the finished presentation is absolutely divine. I think the birds will look elegant perched on top of the cheesecake and I just love that the nest is decorated with vintage millinery flowers. Isn’t the green and lavender pairing darling as well?

Oh so sweet! That will look adorable at the wedding. I’m so looking forward to seeing pics – with all of the coral it will be so chic!

They’re lovely! The green and lavendar one would work perfectly for us since those are our colors, but our friend Alex is making us a clay topper!!

we must be thinking alike. I litterally was just looking at that etsy shop before I came to check out your blog. I am looking at the cardinal bird nest cake topper. It would actually be a surprise to Tyler, as when his most favorite person in the world, his grandma passed, they say she became a cardinal. i’m hoping to make it a continueing theme throughout the wedding… espeically since one of our colors will be red!

Those are absolutely darling! I am a big bird fan as well..but it is so fitting with the “nest” and the 2 love birds. Great find!
