Vintage I Do’s
July 12, 2010
The vintage wedding gown selection at Mill Crest Vintage has me weak in the knees. From 1920′s flapper-esque gowns to pouffy 1950′s taffeta numbers they truly have something for everyone. The swiss dot dress at top is calling my name…swoon!

the bottom one with the tulle is calling my name!

Oh my, the one at the bottom with the tulle skirt is precious. I still have mine! Not that it is any beautiful thang…and I KNOW Patterson won’t wear it, unless we use it as the base to build her dress…very possible. Reason enough to save a dress. She can still take something old down the isle and I would love it if it were even just the “pettycoat” of mine. These are beautiful Katie!

They are all too adorable and so well preserved.
Several months ago my In-Laws received a surprised package from a relative. Inside was the wedding gown and wedding pictures of my Father-In-Laws great Aunt. The wedding was held in the 20′s sometime and the dress is stunning. There needs to be some repairs made, but we’re holding onto it for my daughter (who turns 2 in Aug;). I’ve also saved my (Victorian inspired) gown as well.
She may not want to wear either of them, BUT if she does they’ll be there for her.

I’m with you, Katie-such a sucker for Swiss dot!

Oo, thanks for the link! I’m always looking for good online vendors of vintage wedding dresses. So many of the wedding dresses out there are just…old.

They’re all so cute! I think the bottom one is my favorite. If only we could get married all the time :) (to the same man of course)

Holy smokes, this is the highlight of my Monday… those are just stunning. I would love to play dress up in their collection… so sweet!

The moment I put that last dress on, I think I’d have a really hard time taking it off. All I’d want to do is have tea and eat little sandwiches. These are all gorgeous, but that one for me takes the cake.

They are so cute!! Do you think you’ll sell your dress after the wedding? I think I probably will, instead of having it sit around in a box. I feel like it’s bad or something, but why not?
