Umbrella Envy

Whenever I see a clear umbrella I immediately think of Scarlett Johansson in Sofia Coppola’s brilliant Lost in Translation. Needless to say, I’m head over heels for the contemporary version at top which is only $20 at Pieces in Atlanta. I love it’s generous dome shape—rainy day chic!

Hated Lost in Translation. But love the umbrella! And the best thing is that it goes with everything.

I never liked black umbrellas. They always made a rainy day seem more depressing. I would love an umbrella like this, especially since I could hold it low and still see where I was heading.

You definitely feel like you are in the eye of the storm, Joanna! I used to have a clear bubble umbrella but it got a little crooked in one particularly brutal gust of wind. I do need buy another one, I just wish it rained more in San Francisco so I can use it with my Hunter rain boots (which are collecting dust, unfortunately!)

i love clear umbrellas! this one is so cute. i can’t believe i’ve never seen Lost in Translation. i need to change that stat!
