If I had a spare $399 I’d snatch up this vintage pink Royal Quiet De Luxe in a heartbeat. Isn’t she a beauty? I’m convinced I could happily sit with her all day typing letters to friends in far off places. When your typewriter is this cute poetry must drip from your fingertips!

I don’t know why – but I have a thing for old typewriters. Not that I’d actually use it – but I like to dream of writing letters on one :)

As a fellow typewriter lover, I think you’d like my friend’s story about the typewriter that got away…

Not only is she a beauty, but she’s pink! I just imagine typing lovely letters to far off places on a typewriter like this.

I think I was born in the wrong era… I would do anything to write letter to on one of those puppys.
love that it’s pink too!

Oh gosh, this is beautiful! And I love that you still have the letters your husband sent you. So sweet!

I am in love! With the typewriter and your blog!

I’m so inevitably drawn to it. I wish there’s one in baby blue.

I found a gorgeous aqua-colored, vintage Olivetti studio 44 typewriter on Craigslist for ten bucks earlier this year! I love it and I love typing on it, because you really have to slow down (because of the keys, you know?) which makes you think more about what you’re saying. If that makes sense.

Hello one and all – I started working at 19 in an office and that is exactly what I typed on. Let me tell you it was not very romantic or easy with long fingernails. I was so glad to move on to an electric typewriter and then on to word perfect – now I use the computer but have been retired for 25 years just when the computer came into the office I worked in. How is that for history? Oh by the way I am 74 and love reading the blog.

Love vintage typewriters, and this one is pink. Dreamy. I don’t have that kind of dough to drop on a typewriter either, so I settled for a vintage photo of one via Sara Norris on Etsy. http://bit.ly/dshR5h

She’s very pretty. I’m sure she can type the most delicious letters!

does anyone correspond with actuall letters anymore? it’s all email, text, fb, instant messaging, blah, blah, blah. sort of sad, actually. i dated a boy in college who moved far far away (back to his home.) our love affair didn’t last but i’ll always cherish those letters. some what of an art form of the past, don’t you think?
