Lovely Chair, Lovely Cause

This chair cushion was designed by designer Lulu deKwaitkowski in memory of her mother whom she lost to breast cancer less than a year ago. As part of an auction to benefit breast cancer research SUITE New York has designed a new pink wishbone chair and asked 20 designers to create cushion covers (other participants include Kelly Wearstler, Bunny Williams, and Ruthie Sommers…). I was struck not only by Lulu’s lovely design, but also her sweet, personal tag. 100% of proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

as someone who also lost an aunt to breast cancer, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. the chair, the design, the note – all of it is glowing with love.
