Princess and the Pea

Introducing the latest Lela Rose bridesmaid collection for The Dessy Group.  How charming is this princess in the pea-esque ad campaign?  I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely, positively smitten!  Did you have bridesmaids or have you been a bridesmaid?  What did you wear?

Forget the bridesmaid dresses, where can I get that glorious bedding? Those sheets and duvets are to-die-for gorgeous. Sweet dreams indeed!

So beautiful! I had only my sister as a bridesmade/maid of honor…my girlfriends are all over the USA, I thought it might be stressful to dress them!

What an incredible spread! Love Lela Rose!! I only had my sister as a bridesmaid (and vice versa) so we picked out our dresses. If I would have had bridesmaids they would have worn these dresses though!!

  8. kelly ann says:

    oohh… i’m obsessed with these. they’re perfect.

  9. Love these, yes to being a bridesmaid, I wore tiny lace gloves, and a full skirted dress that was in the lightest shade of “blush” – My bridesmaids wore a deep navy long a-line sheath. I still love long during the day ~

My bridesmaids are wearing Lela Rose dresses for my upcoming wedding! I let my Maid of Honor pick the dress, and she did an awesome job. Cannot wait for them to get in!

  11. Brandi says:

I absolutely love these dresses (they’re really for bridesmaids? couldn’t I get one just because?) and I wish when I was a bridesmaid I had gotten to wear one of them. Instead, I had on a long pink dress trimmed in light purple. Never wearing that one again for sure.

  12. if i could have a self portrait i would want to be shot like this on mounds of textiles ! all block-printed of course ;)

  13. Betty Baker says:

Hi Katie – not one of the bridesmaid’s pictures came through on my e-mail – I am sad, I would have loved to have seen them. I am the 74 year old and was a bridesmaid 6 times and maid of honour on two occasions. Lots of dresses that were only worn once and needless to say satin pumps dyed the same colour as the dresses. What fun they were.

  14. Lauren says:

    brilliant idea! i adore this!

  15. Meg says:

I have been a bridesmaid three times, and all three times I wore Vera Wang. One was a cherry red satin full-length halter gown, one was a brown chiffon Grecian-type thing, and one was a cool, cocktail-length black/red one-shoulder number. I’ve donated all of them to The Princess Project!

  16. Kirby says:

seeing lela rose around the web makes me smile. She is one of the most down to earth designers out there. and yes I’ve met her. I interned for her when I was in college. I’m so smitten with her BM dresses for dessy. I only wish there were more floor length options. some day soon!

I love joannas comment about the bedding! it is great if you ask me. It makes me want to go shopping for some new bedding for the winter season!

  17. Katie says:

These dresses are fantastic! Finding desirable options for my bridesmaids has been the hardest part of my wedding planning… it stinks!
