Our Wedding Program
November 7, 2010There are so many little things around the house I’ve been saving to frame and our wedding program is one of them. My best friend’s talented little sister did the drawing of John, Alfred and me — isn’t it hysterical? We printed them at Kinko’s the night before the wedding (thank goodness for only 25 guests) and my girlfriends tied them with differed colored ribbons the morning of the wedding while drinking mimosas. Don’t judge my nails—I ran out of time and painted them myself literally 10 minutes before the photographer arrived (how’s that for low maintenance?!).

So adorable! I love the nails too, it doesn’t have to be high maintenance and expensive to be chic! <3

Oh, how sweet! The illustration of your little family is adorable, and that fact that you painted your nails last minute only makes me like you more!

Was thinking how much I loved your nails and had to giggle when you were embarrassed by them… they look GREAT and the color is gorgeous! ;-)
Very cute wedding programs, too! I’m borrowing so many of your ideas for our next wedding (“vow renewal”). :)

I wish I could paint mine as well as you did. Love the program and your dress. If I ever get married, I wish my wedding will be as lovely as yours looked like.
P.S.- Once again, sorry for my english. ;)

Aw Katie, they’re adorable! And I stared at the photo for quite a while thinking that your nails looked fabulous and that I’m super pleased you went with that color. Then I read what you said. You crazy!
-
Umm before I read the whole thing, I was thinking how PRETTY your nails looked!! Way to be a low-maintenance bride : ) xoxo
-
Ohh! I’m not going to lie- I noticed the nail color before the program, even though it’s so precious!! What’s the color? I NEED. xoxoxo
-
Eeekkk! This is SO cute. Thanks for sharing this :)

Katie they are gorgeous. Oh how I wanted an intimate wedding, but the husband wanted a huge blowout. Lucky for me even though we had 300+ guests it still felt quaint.
-
Totally agree with PP’s comments about your nails! I was wishing I could go back in time and replace my wedding choice of french manicure with that lovely red! Too fab.
-
these are gorgeous! your wedding sounds exactly how i want mine to be. and before i read the writing, i literally stared at your nails in admiration – their color and shape is perfect! xoxo

How special to have a portrait capturing that special time in your lives together. A relative gave us a portrait of my husband and me for a wedding gift, and it’s a beautiful way to capture a time in life.

katie, i love your program! did mr. armour see it before you walked down the aisle or did you hide it, so he wouldn’t see your dress? so cute!
-
what fun! i love how sweet and demure you look and how “cool” mr. armour looks! sure to bring a smile to your face forever!

25 guest! wow, in my dreams I would have a small wedding like that. I love how you were able to be so care free about those details. knowing myself I’ll have all the programs printed and ready 2 months ahead of time and schedule mani and pedi appointments weeks in advance aswell. but I am been engaged for over a year now so it has given me time to get these details taken care of in advance.
And what a special gift for your friends sister to draw that for you! Love…

Beautiful idea and dress!! I got a dress very similar for my wedding this year, also in J. CREW!

Katie! My favorite part of your post is the bit about your nails…hee hee. I, too, am a last-minute low maintenance gal. I always have great aspirations to have hair & nails down for important events such as one’s wedding, but alas, I end up doing it myself…and usually quite like the slightly-askew result! Oh, and of course, your program is LOVELY…what an adorable idea, and a talented hand!! <3

I was thinking your nails looked so cute! orangey reds are my favorite, and i think its a great bold choice for a bride. i think im just introducing myself now (this is perhaps my first comment on your blog), i’ve been a reader for awhile. love it all, great job, keep it coming. quite charming!

Adorable but both you and John are much cuter in real life. And is that your wedding dress? Beautiful – looks like the Grace Kelly dress in To Catch a Thief!!
