Little Black Skirt
November 12, 2010This simple bowed black skirt has my name written all over it. The cut is chic as can be and I love that it has unexpected, yet oh so handy pockets. Leave it to Kate Spade.

Anthropologie always has fantastic holiday decorations and this year is no exception. I’m especially smitten with this little moose (Mr. Armour grew up in Maine), the cleverly titled Golightly’s Favorite Ornament, and this terribly chic feather wreath. As far as I’m concerned it’s never too early to get in the holiday spirit!
What is your favorite holiday decoration?
I have a confession to make: I love happy country tunes. I loathed them growing up, but somewhere along the line I fell for country and I fell hard. The thing is, I know so little about it! I have a playlist of 30 or so songs made by a friend (it has everything from Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift), but that’s it. So I need your help—what country songs and/or artists do you recommend? Where should I start? I’d be forever grateful!

At the risk of J.Crew overload today (does such a thing even exist?) I just had to post these photos of five-month old baby leopard Mabaka. A reader sent them to me and I’m positively smitten. I want her to be Alfred’s little sister : )
Just stumbled across this wonderfully glamorous vintage lipstick ad on illustrator Dyna Moe’s Flickr page (Mr. Armour just got me her book of Mad Men illustrations!). It’s from an old Playbill and its simple, chic line drawing caught my eye. Sometimes I think understated things make the biggest statement, anyone agree?
