2010…A Few Highlights

Mr. Armour was accepted to law school in San Francisco.  It was decided—we were moving back out west! (Feb)

My baby, Alfred the pug, turned one! (May)

Made a cross-country road trip moving back to California.  Oklahoma is beautiful! (June)

Alfred was a big hit at the Grand Canyon. (June)

Moved to Alameda, a little island in San Franciso’s east bay.  We live in a charming neighborhood brimming with Victorian homes and are a short walk from the beach!  (July)

Took engagement photos with the amazingly talented Cooper Carras.  Will treasure them always. (July)

Got married to a handsome boy from Maine in a little garden in California.  I love you, Mr. Armour.  (July)

Was a contributing editor to Lonny Magazine.  A tremendous honor! (Oct.)

Announced my new project — the upcoming Matchbook Magazine. (Nov.)

Reconnected with the lovely girls at Lonny in New York.  They were sweet as pie and brimming with good advice.  Photo booth madness ensued. (Dec.)

Attended a lovely dinner party hosted by Kate Spade New York.  Met one of my idols, their genius Creative Director, Deborah Lloyd. (Dec.)

Matchbook began blogging for the Huffington Post.  The first of many posts to come! (Dec.)

Thank you to everyone that made 2010 so special!  I can’t wait to see what 2011 brings!

In 2011 I resolve to…

Buy more fresh blooms.

Read one thought-provoking book per week.

Incorporate more color into my wardrobe.

Rise at 5am or earlier each morning.

Take a trip somewhere thrilling and new.

Adopt a second pug.

Write more handwritten notes.

Spend more time at the beach.

Finish decorating our little home.

Edit my wardrobe.  Edit, edit, edit!

Drink more water.

Tell my readers how much I love them (I ADORE YOU!).

Learn how to cook something (anything really…).

Use cloth napkins like proper grown-ups.

And last but certainly not least…

launch the loveliest online magazine you ever did see!

Crushing on Ira

You may or may not know that I love and adore the National Public Radio program This American Life.  Mr. Armour and I always listen to hours of their podcasts on road trips and the host, Ira Glass, is a favorite.  This “Mrs. Ira Glass” tote bag made me laugh out loud and the greeting card is pretty clever too.  Any fellow NPR fans reading?

J.Crew Looks to Spring

The new J.Crew catalog is out and I love it’s pared down simplicity.  They’ve definitely returned to the classics and after season after season of frills I think the clean lines are a welcome break.  What’s your take?

Kisses from Kirsten

Love these shots of Kirsten Dunst for Lula Magazine.  Her nude lips, long lashes and short red nails are tops in my book.
