Gives Me Butterflies

I read about this incredible auction on Hollister Hovey’s lovely blog and am now left wishing for my very own butterflies.  Aren’t they breathtaking?

    crazy auction! Pierre Berge is YSL’s partner….wonder if he’s still auctioning off things from the apt they shared? i kinda wish I had some of that stuff in my house.

    I read Hollister’s post as well – and was DYING yesterday as I clicked through the lots on the auction site. I’m a weird taxidermy junky, so I would like to bid on just about everything! Those white butterflies are especially gorgeous!

    Katie, have you ever been to Paxton Gate? They have amazing taxidermy stuff. There’s a shop in SF and in Portland – a true curiosity shop!

    Those are beautiful! I love the amateur botanist Victorian gentleman kind of vibe they bring to a room. If you like those beauties then you have to check out the amazing work of artist Lyndie Dourthe….
