Saint Laurent

I love the latest installment of the Saint Laurent ad campaign (though I miss the “Yves” – do you?). The photos are so dark and moody yet you still get a strong sense of texture — feather plumes, a hint of lace, a sculptural bracelet… Doesn’t hurt that British model Edie Campbell has perfect hair. Speaking of YSL, my all-time favorite red polish (first spotted on a terrifically chic granny at my neighborhood nail salon…) and these new shoes!

This is another pic for my fringe file – the scissors are calling to me.

I love the new idea of Saint Laurent. In changing their name they made such a break from their past image, yet the new clothes are so similar to the line’s history. Such a brilliant transition!

  6. I also really miss the “Yves.” Did they keep the logo? I feel like YSL (not SL) is so iconic. There are plenty of other ways to make a brand feel fresh.

A little late 60s Joni Mitchell–I love this!
