Aynhoe Park

How had I never heard of Aynhoe Park?! The eccentric English estate is known for its extensive taxidermy collection and is a popular venue for weddings and other festivities. Can you imagine wandering throughout its halls? I must visit!

This seems, for some reason, like the perfect place to have a fabulous tea party!

Have you been to Deyrolle in Paris??? If not, put that on your list of lifetime to-do’s!

I, for one, am appalled by the horrendous (and creepy) lack of respect for these majestic wild animals shown in a milieu way beneath their dignity.

Oh LOVE! I want to go to there!

  5. Cate says:

I could do without the stuffed beasts, prefer them living.
But the house and grounds are gorgeous!
Oh to be rich and eccentric ….

    ummmm poor animals

  7. Elizabeth says:

I want to visit just to take pictures. Those animals offer so much inspiration.

I’m all for “make believe” taxidermy, but the real stuff sickens me. I’m not anti-sportsman, either. I think it is something that had appeal to people at an earlier time, but no longer. I was in a client’s house, an elderly woman, and she had stautues of a bird of prey and an owl. I could not wait to leave.
