Alex Katz’ Soho Studio

Architectural Digest recently published photos of painter Alex Katz’ Soho studio and the images are just lovely. I’m a huge admirer of Katz’ work (especially his paintings of his beautiful wife and muse, Ada) and own several of his books. Someday perhaps I’ll be in a position to buy one…after all, a girl can dream!

Annie Hall Prints

These clever Annie Hall prints are right up my alley. I’ve been staying up far too late wandering around Etsy recently and you really do find the most fun things :)

What’s your favorite Woody Allen film?

Lisa Wiseman on The Beholder

If you read The Daily Spark you’ve already heard me gush about The Beholder, a beautifully curated contemporary art site. I love it so much I’ve decided to give another photographer, in this case Lisa Wiseman, a shout out here. I appreciate how her images are both strikingly yet soft — feminine in the prettiest of light. To me, “MeiLing” at top embodies how I imagine the adventurous Matchbook girl…

Simply Marvelous

I stumbled across these paper cut wigs last night and can’t stop thinking about them and all their intricacy.  Aren’t they so very sculptural and fabulous? Yes, I would like one for display in my apartment.

Spring Wreath

I am absolutely, positively smitten with this DIY wreath created by the talented Chelsea Fuss of Frolic! for Project Wedding.  I am the farthest thing from crafty, but it’s such a beauty I may just give it a go!  Have you ever made a wreath?  If I just use boxwood (trying to keep it simple, folks…) how long do you think it would last?  Any tips for the craft-challenged?
