All Wrapped Up

I adore the simplicity of these black and white drawings by Karen Appleton.  The ribbons looks so lively—I would die for one framed on my gallery wall.  Sometimes understated makes the biggest statement, don’t you think?

Thank you to Pretty Stuff for the introduction to this fine artist!

Flower Bunches

I absolutely adore these messy bunches of flowers posted by Whitney Pozgay of WHIT on her darling blog, Be nice. Be kind.  The top image was shot by Tim Walker and the lower is an illustration by a fellow named Andy Warhol : )

French Papers

L-O-V-E these assemblages of antique French papers by artist Woody Biggs.  They were sold on One Kings Lane this morning and I’m eager to learn more about the artist.  All I’ve found is this short bio — seems he lives in a small village in the Loire Valley and shares my love for paper ephemera.  Two words: soul mate.

Mrs. Monogram

Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. continually blows me away with her beautiful, whimsical designs and these new floral monogram cards are no exception.  They would make the perfect stocking stuffers or hostess gifts!  I personally want ten boxes of the “K” and ten of the “A”—can you blame me?  Oh and I finally picked up five of the pug cards at Anthropologie today.  They are SO cute in person—I can’t wait to frame one for our apartment!

An Apple A Day

I’ve been scouring Etsy for fun vintage art for our apartment and these apple prints were too sweet to pass up.  The 6″ x 9″ pages are from reference book published in 1901 and with shipping cost me less than $12.  Chic and cheap—now I can splurge on frames!
