Oh my goodness!

Somebody pinch me!  I just came home to a darling letterpress invitation in the mail to a dinner party hosted by Kate Spade’s very own Deborah Lloyd.  Luckily it’s next week and I’ll already be in New York shooting projects with my Matchbook team.  As you can imagine I’m in a bit of a tizzy—what to wear?  What to say?  How not to faint? Any pointers for me, ladies?  What would you say/ask/wear to dine with this inspiring woman?!

Seeing Stripes

I will never tire of them.  Will you?

Margaret Elizabeth

One of my all-time favorite pieces of jewelry is my Margaret Elizabeth onyx wrap necklace so when Meg asked to be a Neo-Trad sponsor I was tickled to say the very least.  I wore the necklace long and draped over a pretty, chiffon blouse to meet Kelly Wearstler (it was a hit!) and now have my eye on the turquoise and coral versions.  They just strike me as “forever” pieces that everyone from Coco Chanel to Jenna Lyons would appreciate and that, to me, is the most sound of investments.  Don’t even get me started on the bangles and earrings.  Every piece makes me swoon!

Oh Alexa…

These old shots of Alexa Chung attending a Miu Miu show in Paris may just be my all-time favorites of the Anglo-”IT”-girl.  The New York Times did a fantastic piece on her just this morning.  Is it just me or is her down-to-earth, “undone” approach to life (and fashion) a breath of fresh air?

Tomboy Sleep

I’m absolutely smitten with this traditional-with-a-twist sleep shirtdress by J.Crew.  Now I can stop borrowing my husband’s—and this one will actually cover your bum!  Tomboy chic indeed.
