While at Gumps yesterday I stumbled across a darling porcelain pug by Meissen. Unfortunately, the near $2,000 price tag just about gave me a heart attack and Mr. Armour insists it’s ugly. So ugly it’s cute!

I think I may “need” this Dandy and Dog Clutch by Emersonmade. The print is so simple and handsome, the perfect balance beside a frilly blouse. Wouldn’t it make such a sweet birthday or Christmas present for any stylish animal lover? I’m smitten!

Call me obsessed (okay, so maybe a little…), but I just love when I’m looking at old photographs and suddenly spot a pug. At top is Jackie Kennedy with Thomas, her sister Lee Radziwill’s pug, and below, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor with some of their many pugs. I’m convinced they would have gotten along with my little Alfred just swimmingly!
