Stumbled upon this old Scalamandre ad and just had to share. Love the sisal rug, wallpapers, pleated ottoman…I could go on. I have such an obsession with wallpaper recently (this bamboo pattern is named after Billy Baldwin) — now all I need is a house.

As you may have gathered by now my tastes are rather, ahem, traditional, but every so often a modern piece catches my eye and steals my heart. Such was the case with West Elm’s Finn Pendant and Chandelier. I mean, are they not fabulous? They remind me of something you’d see in New York’s J.Crew Collection Store (or, on that note, in Jenna Lyons soon-to-be-sold townhouse…tear). Classic, modern, goodness—what’s not to love?

I stumbled across these festive pup pillows on Williams-Sonoma this weekend and naturally fell head over heels for the pug. Though I must say, the scottie is rather dashing too… Needlepoint, so granny chic!

Hi friends! Just wanted to let you know that the November issue of Matchbook is now live and it includes a really fun interview I did with two of my life heros, Kate and Andy Spade! Jane and I spent the morning at their home in New York and it was very possibly the coolest moment of my career thus far. They’re just the most down-to-earth, fun, and inspiring couple — I can’t say enough nice things. Anyway, I hope you get a chance to check it out! Thank you as always for your support and for spreading the world about Matchbook. Jane and I work so much sometimes we lose sight of how far we’ve come in the last 10 months –sending this issue live today really felt like a dream coming true. So so thankful for all of you!

My tastes are simple (polka dots, stripes, plaids, yes please!) and this new boldly striped bedding from West Elm is chic, chic, chic. Wouldn’t they be fantastic in super traditional room? The graphic stripes would look smashing against toile wallpaper. I can already picture J.A.K. on the shams. I hope Santa is listening ;)

It’s been such a crazy week, I didn’t get to sit down and properly read Lonny’s new issue until today! What an issue it was! I’m now fixated on monogrammed euro shams and Ellie’s chicly striped walls. Who’s with me?

I just started to clear off this old bookcase (picked up at a thrift shop a few months back) so I can paint it. The light was nice so I snapped a few photos of my unruly shell collection before taking everything apart. This is only a very small glimpse of it. Someday, once I’ve finally finished decorating our little place, I’ll publish it somewhere so you can see the rest :)

One of my girlfriends (her apartment was shot for issue 3 and you’re going to l-o-v-e it!) sent me a link to Circa Who in Florida this morning and I just about died and went to heaven.  They have the most fun mix of mid-century furniture and accessories with an unmistakable Palm Beach flair.  I love faux bamboo and lucite, don’t you?
