Wearstler Goes Shopping

Kelly-Wearstler-Saturday-Shopping-1st-Dibs

Saturday Shopping on 1stDibs this past weekend featured Los Angeles decorator extraordinaire Kelly Wearstler.  I threw together a collage of some of her picks for your viewing pleasure.  I adore the warm gold, ivory and pink palette of her selections…wouldn’t those hues be lovely for a summer wedding (wink, wink)?

Down on the farm…

Brook-Farm-General-Store-Brooklyn

I absolutely adore the well curated inventory of the Brook Farm General Store in Brooklyn, New York.  They have a brick and mortar shop under the Williamsburg Bridge as well as an online shop boasting a bevy of goodies.  The selection is all so chic and timeless, I find myself coveting each and every piece!  Below, some of my current favorites:

Organic-stuffed-animal-duck-goose

An adorable organic goose stuffed with pure wool and made in Lithuania. Haven’t you always wanted one?  Me too.

Coolest Map Ever.

This large signed silk screen print is of a hand drawn (wow) map of the world.  Created by Oliver Jeffers (great name, right?) for The Royal We, the print is not only charming, but also “comes with 202 pins to chart your path to total global domination.”  Hilarious!  Let the games begin…

Just read THIS fascinating old article on the 2008 fire at Paris’ famous taxidermy establishment, Deyrolle.  I’ve yet to visit and am dying to see all its beasts and butterflies in person.  The collection began in 1831 and since the fire has been lovingly restored thanks to the efforts of Prince Louis Albert de Broglie (pictured at top), Hermès, Christie’s, and the French Army.  I know some find it repulsive, but I definitely have an odd fascination with taxidermy.  Wes Anderson does too.

I’m curious how you feel about it ladies—intrigued or horrified?
