Goodness Gracie

What motivates me? Gracie’s handpainted wallpaper. Did you know its production has been managed by the same Chinese family for over fifty years? Someday I want a living room (or dining room or dressing room…) covered in it. I’m thinking a vibrant Diana Vreeland red, but the orange is awfully tempting. Thankfully, I have plenty of time to decide ;)

My Apartment

We just sent the August issue of Matchbook live and my California apartment is inside. It was 500 square feet (including the unpublished bath, kitchen, and closets!), but I like to think good things come in small packages. As you may know, we moved to New York yesterday so seeing the piece has me hopelessly homesick. A special thank you to my dear friend Cooper Carras for the photos. I tried to list as many sources as possible below, but if you’re wondering where I found something feel free to ask in the comments! xx

Pretty Plum

I just about died when I stumbled upon these photos of Plum Sykes’ old apartment. I vaguely remember the Vogue article, do you? The space is just so perfectly tailored and feminine. I definitely need a skirted chintz ottoman in my life.

Chez Lauren

More loveliness from Self Service Magazine, this time of Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo. I love her all black outfit with the white collar peeking out. Tomboy chic at its best.
