If you’re like me you’re dying to visit J.Crew’s new Bridal Boutique on Madison Avenue in person! Until then, however, we can watch this tour by Martha Stewart Weddings‘ Darcy Miller and Tom Mora, Head of Wedding Design at J.Crew. The filming is a bit bumpy, but it was worth catching a glimpse of the jewelry displays, lingerie, perfume and more!
John and I are on a sofa hunt for our new apartment and Rita Konig’s decorating adventures have served as major inspiration. Above is the before and after of her own beautiful sofa—isn’t it spectacular? While we could run to IKEA and buy a reasonable slipcover sofa (if you swap out the legs and throw some pillows on the white Karlstad it isn’t so bad…) I’d still much rather have an older piece and save up over time to have it reupholstered. What do you think ladies, dress up the new or reinvent the old?
I am always scouring Etsy for beautiful, unusual handmade items and these floral porcelain tumblers certainly fit the bill. Both the design and choice of colors are stunning and I love that they were molded on a throwing wheel by a true artisan. Wouldn’t they make for a darling and original hostess gift? Love!
I thought I’d kick off the morning with this lovely New England wedding featured on Style Me Pretty yesterday. The bride’s swiss dot dress just may be my all time favorite. I think the pattern adds such a fun twist to the classic gown, so simple yet elegant. Other details included bunnies hopping about the yard and the couple’s initials carved into an old apple tree…can you even imagine? I’m smitten!
