I love the latest installment of the Saint Laurent ad campaign (though I miss the “Yves” – do you?). The photos are so dark and moody yet you still get a strong sense of texture — feather plumes, a hint of lace, a sculptural bracelet… Doesn’t hurt that British model Edie Campbell has perfect hair. Speaking of YSL, my all-time favorite red polish (first spotted on a terrifically chic granny at my neighborhood nail salon…) and these new shoes!

I always pass by this gorgeous residential lobby on Third Avenue and admire the handpainted wallpaper. This afternoon I finally gathered up the courage to ask the doorman permission to snap some photos and to my surprise, he said yes! Isn’t it stunning? I love the handsome green tufted furniture against the floral Gracie-covered walls. A little slice of heaven on the upper east side.
