My New Coffee Table

I’ve been hunting for a small, chic coffee table for my studio apartment and when I spotted this one for only $149 on UrbanOutfitters.com I knew it would fit perfectly. I love the modern contrast to my tufted sofa and with the help of some books and blooms it doesn’t look half bad!

My 2013 Uniform

My personal style has changed a great deal since I began this dear blog and one of my goals for 2013 is to be more faithful to it as my preferences evolve. I want this space to be a reflection of my taste, not what I think others expect to see. I plan to post a lot more often this year (hooray!) and am excited to see where it takes me. And so, a few things (each under $150!) I’m coveting for the new year…

1/ The Perfect Draped Sweater  2/ Cozy Leggings 3/ Classic Gold Cuff 4/ Chic Little Gold Plate Agate Earrings 5/ Studded Loafers 6/ A Fabulous Stripe and Sequin Weekender

Matchbook’s December Issue

I often get so caught up in the excitement of launching a new issue I fail to mention it’s live here on my dear blog! We’ve also launched a Matchbook boutique (so exciting!) that allows you to favorite product and search by color/story/etc. Sign up to fill out your very own Matchbook questionnaire (here is mine!) and start adding to your wish list. Let me know when your questionnaire’s complete and I’ll be sure to take a look – reading everyone’s clever answers has been such fun! :)

Life Lately…

“I still believed in possibilities then, still had the sense, so peculiar to New York, that something extraordinary would happen any minute, any day, any month.” -Joan Didion

This morning it dawned on me I hadn’t shared a New York update since September! A few fall highlights – seeing my little brother in Pace’s performance of Spring Awakening, a quiet evening exploring the Met, a scrumptious brunch at Jojo with Iva, gin and tonics at the Ritz, the beautiful voices of the Saint Thomas Church boys choir, bouquets of bodega tulips, bowling at Brooklyn Bowl with Morris Adjmi Architects, a perfect French 75 at The Odeon, neighborhood strolls with Alfred, breakfast at Pastis with dear friends (looking at you Cassie, Ash, Dru, and Ellie), weeknight spaghetti dinners at E.A.T. where we’re always the youngest patrons, the Picasso exhibit at the Guggenheim, seeing Al Pacino in Glengarry Glen Ross, hanging out in Wayne Pate’s ridiculously awesome Park Slope studio (have I mentioned I love my job?), brunch in Harlem at The 5 and Diamond with Nicole and Ellie, and so much more. I didn’t think it possible, but as each day passes I only feel more grateful to be in the city that never sleeps. Here’s to adventures ahead…!
