What have I gotten myself into…

My husband just ran his first 1/2 marathon this past weekend and has since talked me into registering for another local 1/2 marathon in April. Mind you, I can barely run a mile, but I have six months to train and am kind of excited by the prospect of being a responsible adult and getting fit. We’ve been getting up at 5am to work out for the past two weeks and while it’s painful pulling myself out of bed, I really do feel better all day long. The best part? I got a pair of the cute shoes above thanks to my friend Natalie’s recomendation.

Do you run? Do you have any tips? I sure could use them!

High Point Market

As my Twitter followers may know, last month I had the pleasure of attending my very first High Point Market in North Carolina. I had the best week touring showrooms, attending book signings by some of my design idols (Mary McDonald signed my copy “Happy Pugging!”) and dancing at the B-52s concert. It was such fun to gather with new and old friends such as Erin of Elements of Style, Jill of Material Girls, Lynn of Decor Arts Now, Cassie of Coco + Kelly, Paloma of La Dolce Vita, Christian of Maison21, Crystal of Rue, Julieann of CreateGirl, Ashlina of The Decorista, and Marisa of Stylebeat (adore them all!).

And who made all the gorgeous furniture above? Lexington Home Brands, my fantastic sponsor. Erin, Jill, and I had the pleasure of touring their 100,000 square foot showroom and I was blown away by how many charming pieces they have. I’ve already placed a piece in Matchbook’s upcoming December issue — stay tuned! ;)

The Cutest Thank You

Is this thank you card by Rifle Paper Co. for Anthropologie not the cutest thing you ever did see? I want to be that girl in her fabulous Jackie-O-esque attire and tower of hat boxes. It’s official: Anna Bond can do no wrong.

Twinkle Toes

Pretty sure I need these sparkly flats from ASOS for the holiday season. They’d certainly pop when paired with basic black tights. Especially love that they added a substantial velvet bow — such a smart touch.
