An Eddie Ross Makeover…

Eddie-Ross-Etagere-3

You know I love a good makeover and this etagere scooped up from Goodwill by Eddie Ross is positively gorgeous!  It cost a mere $75 and just look what you can do with a bit of styling!  I especially adore the faux bamboo detail, charming little finials and lovely aged brass finish.  The icing on the cake?  The handsome white horse bookends are from my vintage shop, Katie Armour Home.  Looking good Eddie ; )

How do you style your bookshelves?  With books, objects or both?

Eddie Ross Goes Pink

How fun is this pink and blue table designed by entertainer extraordinaire Eddie Ross?  I just adore the fearless mix of orange ikat, brass and blue opaline—stunning!  The best part?  I have the same pair of large brass pheasants—one of my favorite flea market finds!

Tis the Season…

I stumbled across this image in Eddie Ross’ very impressive portfolio and melted.  The simple, clean color palette is right up my alley.  Long live beautiful, understated Christmas decorations.

The Birth of Lonny

I’m anxiously awaiting the fall ’09 debut of Lonny, the new online decorating magazine founded by former Domino market assistant Michelle Adams and her friend, photographer Patrick Cline.  Domino mourners will have their prayers answered by this new e-publication which vows to “reopen the doors of accessible design.”  Word on the street is that the home of Eddie Ross and his partner Jaithan Kochar will be part of the debut issue as well as the abode of Adams’ former Domino colleague Kate Townsend-Simpson (pictured above).  With our beloved shelter magazines folding left and right, Lonny can’t launch soon enough!
