Girl Crush: Emma Watson
January 5, 2011I just adore Ms. Watson’s pretty pink dress with its darling black bow! Plus, did you notice the chair is yellow with roses? Just as we discussed earlier : ) What a doll.

Okay, I promise not to gush about the chicness that is Emma Watson any more this week, but I just had to post these photos from her British Vogue feature. Do they not scream Jean Seberg in Breathless? I need to go out on the town this weekend so I can channel her eye make-up in the first shot. Absolutely, positively smitten.

Thank you to Mackenzie for pointing out these fantastic new images of actress Emma Watson in the December issue of Marie Claire. The pixie-cut knock-out also graces the cover of British Vogue this month. It’s so refreshing to read about a smart, grounded young woman that prefers her studies at Brown University to dancing on tables. Cheers to that.
The English countryside glamour of this Emma Watson photo shoot in Teen Vogue made her an instant girl crush. I love the rich jewel tones of the fabric and the traces of both British punk (the headband) and aristocracy (the velvet jacket and touch of fur).

Nineteen-year-old British actress Emma Watson is all grown up in the Autumn/Winter 2009 Burberry ad campaign and the result is absolutely stunning. Looking edgy yet classic in a variety of the company’s iconic trenches, the young starlet was shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino in Westminster, central London. Burberry’s new headquarters are nearby. The video below includes artsy behind the scenes footage of the photo shoot and mini interviews with Watson and Burberry’s creative director, Christopher Bailey, set to moody music by Jonathan Borrell. How is it that Brits always seem so effortlessly cool?
