It’s no secret that I am obsessed with the work of watercolor artist Caitlin McGauley, but this recent painting of Vogue European Editor at Large Hamish Bowles in his pink apartment is my all time favorite piece! It was recently posted on the awesome Lonny Blog and I am absolutely, positively in love. One of my favorite people in one of my favorite apartments by one of my favorite artists—it’s all too much!
P.S. You can find photographs of Mr. Bowles’ New York apartment here!

The lastest issue of Fantastic Man magazine contains these Juergen Teller photographs of Hamish Bowles (Vogue’s European Editor at Large) in his spectacular Upper East Side apartment. I am dying to get my hands on a copy. Such style!
Who are your style muses (past or present) my darling readers? I love new names and faces…of course, familiar ones are more than welcome too! After Mr. Bowles above, some of my other favorite creative souls are Diana Vreeland, Miles Redd, Maira Kalman, Kate and Andy Spade… Now your turn!

Decorator Jeffery Bilhuber’s 17th-century Long Island abode is featured in August’s Vogue and every square inch is granny chic. Charmingly named Hay Fever, the property was purchased by Bilhuber as country house for himself and his little boy, Christoph. The home was a disaster upon purchase, but Bilhuber and his architect skillfully completed a renovation that remained true to the home’s architectural bones. The colors are what sold me—apple green walls, dashes of Prussian blue and purple, mint blue kitchen cabinets!
