I stumbled upon these portraits of Jenna Lyons on The Nowness yesterday (an oldie but goodie piece on her “interior obsessions”) and thought they were lovely. Such a pity they’re selling that beautiful house… Photographed by Frances Tulk-Hart.

Style.com uploaded the entire J.Crew spring collection today and I just about died when I saw it.  I love the pops of color and how they’ve managed to make fall trends like sequins transition into warmer weather.  Plus, the orangey coral lipstick is fantastic (I went out on a limb and wore a similar shade in my wedding this past summer)—we’ll have to find out the exact shade they used!

Honestly, who doesn’t love her?  I so enjoyed reading about the “12 Things She Can’t Live Without” in this month’s Elle Decor.  Sequins and sailor stripes, yes please!

Well, the second issue of Lonny magazine has officially launched online (yippee!) and I nearly died when I came across an article on the one and only J.Crew N Ten Ninety-Five.  For those of you who haven’t yet been, it very well may be the most beautifully decorated retail shop I’ve ever set foot in.  Reclaimed hickory floors (in a traditional herringbone pattern, but left unfinished) and vintage kilim rugs set the mood which screams of old New York glamour.  The powder room makes a statement with deliciously bold vertical black and white stripes and the rooms are illuminated with vintage Sputnik and French Serge Mouille fixtures.  J.Crew Creative director Jenna Lyons is responsible for the exquisite decor and took inspiration from her own newly renovated Park Slope brownstone (yes, the one that graced the cover of our beloved Domino).  Everything from the quirky, understated artwork to the unlacquered brass finished hardware speaks to Jenna’s now trademark aesthetic and I just can’t get enough.  Congratulations to Lonny on issue N.2 and J.Crew for a store certainly worthy of their praise.

We may already be in the midst of spring 2010 fashion week, but it’s this image of Jenna Lyons at the fall 2009 shows that I’m stuck on today.  I love her mix of high and low (naturally, that’s a J.Crew bag she’s carrying).  The layered necklaces and cropped fur coat paired with the black mini are just too chic.  I know I post about Madame Lyons quite a lot, but can you blame me?

Just came across an interview of Jenna Lyons (creative director of J.Crew—she’s brilliant) by The Huffington Post.  They poked around her office to find her latest inspirations.  For explanations of the pictures below and much, much more read the interview HERE!

I have what some might consider an unhealthy obsession with J.Crew’s creative director Jenna Lyons so when I spotted her profiled in Town & Country magazine’s “Fashion & Style” section this evening I was, to put it mildly, ecstatic.  Her outfit is impeccable (tailored blazer juxtaposed by a feather skirt, but of course…) and her answers are as always poignant, classic and astoundingly down to earth.  Of course they shot the article in the newest J.Crew boutique on 79th and Madison which was decorated by Ms. Lyons herself and is positively smashing (charcoal grey walls, flea market-esque oil paintings, sleek mid-century furniture, antique rugs faded just enough to make feel them more hip than stuffy…).  As far as I’m concerned, this woman can do no wrong.
