My always-in-the-know friend Jenna just sent me a link to this new online magazine. I can’t wait to see the premier issue! What do you think ladies, is there room on the web for another hip, stylish shelter mag? The fabulous Lonny sure gives them something to aspire toward!

I was thinking today how much I miss Michelle Adams posts over at M.A. Belle. Aren’t these presents of hers gorgeous? If only I were half as chic in my gift-giving! Love the Rubie Green fabric bows, but of course : )

Did you hear that the latest issue Lonny is going live this Saturday? Just thought I should spread the good cheer. I don’t know about you, but I’m on pins and needles! I can’t wait to drool over all the new features and see the latest Caitlin McGauley watercolors. Isn’t the chair above très chic? (Disclaimer: Ever since I saw An Education I’ve been throwing little French phrases into my daily conversation — such a wannabe Carey Mulligan!)

Well, the second issue of Lonny magazine has officially launched online (yippee!) and I nearly died when I came across an article on the one and only J.Crew N Ten Ninety-Five. For those of you who haven’t yet been, it very well may be the most beautifully decorated retail shop I’ve ever set foot in. Reclaimed hickory floors (in a traditional herringbone pattern, but left unfinished) and vintage kilim rugs set the mood which screams of old New York glamour. The powder room makes a statement with deliciously bold vertical black and white stripes and the rooms are illuminated with vintage Sputnik and French Serge Mouille fixtures. J.Crew Creative director Jenna Lyons is responsible for the exquisite decor and took inspiration from her own newly renovated Park Slope brownstone (yes, the one that graced the cover of our beloved Domino). Everything from the quirky, understated artwork to the unlacquered brass finished hardware speaks to Jenna’s now trademark aesthetic and I just can’t get enough. Congratulations to Lonny on issue N.2 and J.Crew for a store certainly worthy of their praise.

You know when you stumble across something by chance and feel as though you’ve found your soulmate? Well, that’s how I feel about the illustrations of Caitlin McGauley. When I came across her work in the newly debuted Lonny magazine and made my way to her website it was truly as though I’d died and gone to heaven. Above is a shot of her homepage—I mean, really, could it possibly be any more charming? Just look at that classic sailor striped tank, the vintage globe and camera, ballet flats and bubbly! If you love what you see be sure to also check out Caitlin’s blog “My NYC Sketchbook” — you’ll be charmed, I’m quite sure.
