These photos from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette have me smiling ear to ear. I often wistfully tell my husband, “All I want in life is a house with a yard so I can buy Alfred and Wallace a little sister.” Though our boys are fawns, I’ve decided I want to adopt a pudgy, little black pug next. Aren’t they too cute?

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered a pristine copy of The Private World of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor in a used bookshop today for a mere $29?! I snatched it right up and have been pouring over the pug-filled pages ever since. Above are two of my very favorites—the second especially makes my heart swell. I can’t wait to have five pugs of my own someday…three to go!

I came across this old fashion spread shot by Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue and nearly died—look at all the pugs! This would be my little Alfred’s dream come true. I think he would have looked darling sitting on Linda Evangelista’s supermodel lap!
