Apparently I have weddings on the mind today! These numbers from Quail Bridal may be the greatest wedding attire I’ve ever seen. Their whimsical designs and wild textures are just plain fun and that’s what weddings should be! Be sure to check out their homepage, the opening photo made me grin ear to ear.

Bridal company Ivy & Aster has officially launched its beautiful website and I am beyond smitten with the result. Aren’t the dresses heavenly? I think Mr. Armour and I need to renew our vows so we can I can wear that velvet swiss dot gown above! Be sure to read their “story” — too charming.

It’s almost that time—I fly out tomorrow for nine days in New York! While I’ll miss John and Alfred dearly, I’m beyond excited to be headed back to my old turf. I’ll be spending three days in Manhattan meeting some of my design idols (pray I don’t faint…) and then am headed to the Adirondacks with my beautiful friend Jane Lilly Warren of Lox Papers for her three-day-wedding-extravaganza! Scott and Jane are two of my favorite people in the entire world and I’m absolutely tickled to be a bridesmaid. I’ll be blogging intermittently next week, but for all the details you can follow my adventures via tweet-o-gram.
What are your weekend plans my loves? Anything I must see in New York? Miss you till Monday! xx

I just came across this wedding of Ryan and Laura on the spectacular Once Wed and am head over heels for the bride’s attire. It’s unconventional, yet still appears so classic. Her pairing of the cream wrap sweater with her dress is beyond gorgeous if you ask me. It just looks so cozy and romantic! It almost reminds me of something you’d see in a Jane Austen film, but with a modern twist. Of course the rain only adds to the ambiance—how handsome are those black umbrellas? Now I want to get married in a sweater on a cloudy day…uh oh…back to the drawing board!

How cute is this mustache bridesmaid photo? I love when bridal parties don’t take themselves too seriously and just have fun. The kelly green dresses are stunning and I think it’s great that all three bridesmaids are wearing a completely different style. I’m looking forward to mixing things up and being creative on my big day. Matchy matchy weddings just aren’t my style. Thank you to Once Wed for featuring fun girls with a fearless sense of color!
